Propel the Movement

If you’re working on a project in One Health, we need to hear from you. After a year like 2020, the work in One Health is more important then ever.

This is a joint effort between EnRICHLY and COHA. Let’s create more collaboration, learning and action in One Health. Tell the story about your project, whether it’s brand new or complete.

Stories will be shared on social media, the COHA website and EnRICHLY platform.

What is One Health?

"COHA really stands for this alliance of different human medical schools paired with veterinary schools that work together to try to realize the potential of One Health. In science, we don't always do the best job of communicating what we're doing and the benefit of this type of approach. And, there's huge value in being able to do that."

"When I look at what the vision of COHA can bring, I look at what frustrations we have today. Things like, medications cost too much, or access to care effects your outcome. So, is there a way using a team science approach that we can change that."

"Typically people work in their own silos. And, unfortunately that really slows progress. So, a more effective and efficient way to solving these challenging medical problems that effect multiple species is a One Health approach. The way to make this One Health approach work is for scientists to be aware of what others are doing."

Clinical and Translational Science Award One Health Alliance

Healthy people, animals & environment

COHA is comprised of veterinary schools partnered with medical and other colleagues through a National Institutes of Health Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA). COHA’s mission is to advance our understanding of diseases shared by humans and animals. The alliance leverages the expertise of physicians, research scientists, veterinarians, and other professionals to find solutions for medical problems and to address the well-being of humans, animals, and the environment.
